Update 2025-04-18
We do not always see discussion threads. Since this space was established, we now have a live helpdesk:
https://support.fac.gov/hc/en-us
Our documentation at
https://www.fac.gov/
is also much more authoritative than when this space was first created. We recommend those resources before engaging here.
Original text follows.
👋 Welcome!
We’re using GH Discussions as a place to communicate with devs who are using the FAC API in their work:
We will expand and revise this content over time.
Code of conduct
The FAC is committed to building a safe, welcoming, harassment-free culture for everyone.
By voluntarily participating in this community, you are agreeing to abide by the Digital.gov Community Guidelines and the TTS Code of Conduct. Respect your peers, use plain language, be patient, practice constructive criticism, and stay organized.
We encourage you to read this project’s Contribution Guide (you are here), its LICENSE and its README. If you want to read more about our open source policy or have questions, check out the 18F Open Source Policy GitHub repository or send us an email.
How to engage
We are using this space to make developer-facing announcements, field questions regarding the API, share work we're all doing with it (so we can benefit from each-other's efforts), and use this as a place to discuss its improvement over time. GH Discussions is a new tool for us, so lets see how it goes.
It may be you have improvements to the FAC codebase itself; we'll update our contributor guidance to support this in time.
