Add more activity categories, at this point I can think of:
active-social– Hybrid events like beerbiking, glowgolfcareer– Lunch lectures and career-related activitiesconference– Large-scale events like SNiCcultural– Artistic or cultural outings (cinema, museum, theatre)education– Study support, academic workshops, or lecturesexternal– Promoted but externally organised eventsinterest-list– Sign-up based interest trackinginterest-meeting– Exploratory meetings (perhaps based on interest lists)meeting– Formal gatherings like GMMsparty– Celebratory events with music and dancingrecreational– Casual fun like movie nights, board games, quizzessave-the-date- Placeholder for upcoming events without full detailssocial-drink– Informal drinks, borrels, pub meetupssports– Physical activities like ice skating, boulderingweekend– Multi-day events, often off-campusworkshop– Skill-building sessions, trainings or workshopsother– Catch-all for uncategorized or experimental formats
This must be a mandatory field for each activity. For all options except for other, a chip will be displayed (just like the activity labels).
Why is this needed?
Currently, we only have one category: career. However, I foresee changes in the activity policy that may result in the exclusion of people from specific categories of activities.
