[Feature request] Multiple addresses for a single host

When at home, I would like to use the local IP address of my gaming PC (host), while when I’m away I would like to use the Tailscale IP of my gaming PC.

Currently, I’m forced to manually re-type the IP address when switching from gaming from home to gaming on the go, as hosts in the selection lists seem to be saved by machine name instead of by IP, leading to the previous IP being overwritten every time.

It would be great to be able to save multiple IPs for the same machine, and just select the one that should be used.

It's next on my to-do list. Whenever I'm done with current stuff, I'll do this, but it will take some time to get to it.

I was gonna request the same, but glad I'm not the only one who thought of this. My suggestion, though, was just to be able to name the connections, so I'd have, for example:

• My PC (Local)
• My PC (Tailscale)

So in the end it would connect to my PC, but I wouldn't have to retype the IP Everytime I'm trying to connect from home or on the go.

In case anyone is wondering about a state of this issue - I'm indirectly working on this while working on other stuff, but I'll have to postpone it again since it's a headache to implement it the way I envision it...

I found a way to stream both remotely and locally using the local IP of my desktop PC, here's what I did:

• In moondeck, make sure you use the local IP of your remote PC (NOT the tailscale one)
• Enable tailscale subnet routing on your remote PC -> https://tailscale.com/kb/1406/quick-guide-subnets
• Disable the tailscaled service on the steam deck, so that it doesn't boot automatically at startup (sudo systemctl disable tailscaled) Edit: don't do that, the tailscaled service actually needs to be started if you want to use tailscale-control. So keep the systemd service enabled (see Tailscale control does not work while the tailscaled.service is diabled saumya-banthia/tailscale-control#19)
• Install the tailscale-control decky plugin -> https://github.com/saumya-banthia/tailscale-control
• In tailscale-control settings, go to advanced settings, and look for tailscale up custom flags which should contain by default --operator=deck. Keep that one and add --accept-routes. You need both of them, so: --operator=deck --accept-routes
• Use tailscale-control to start tailscale (if it's already started, toggle it twice)
