Dates not being set

Issue:
Dates are not being saved when creating posts in the past

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a new blog post
2. Set the date to some time in the past
3. Save the post and visit the home page

Expected Behavior:

• The date should be saved with the post

Actual Behavior:

• The date on the post is set to the current date
