On our OpenPGP form, teach our users what it does #13

This is definitely a 'nice to have'.

But the way I see it, the crypto-community are right now really frustrated with users security-knowlegde in general. Nobody knows what PGP is, how basic encryption work and why they should care about it.

A ton of really cool initiatives tries to fight this with awareness, but I believe sites like ours that use these methods should nudge users in the right direction everytime we can.

So if our OpenPGP formular could do more to show the user what's actually happening, they would maybe begin to understand it. Instead of just being a magical 'encrypt' button, it could show how the encryption trashes their written words into peaces, and maybe an infographical element could illustrate how it works with a padlock and some flooting keys.

What do you think?
