Unzip from command line not working

I get an error on line 8 in \brp-gewaspercelen\scripts\process.sh (I have a Windows 8 laptop)

'unzip' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

On stackoverflow I read:

Unzipping in files in Windows from cmd requires 3rd party software such as 7z or winrar to be installed as there is no native function to unzip files in windows from the cmd prompt

I want to be sure it's safe to install the 3rd party software. Do you know a safe place to download and install the software from?

Unfortunately it won't work through the Windows command line. You'll need a Bash environment, see this doc for instructions: https://github.com/FarmHackNL/open-data/blob/master/gdal-installation-notes.md#windows

I use The OSGEO4W shell. This seems to be a known issue with the 64-bit version I have: https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/ticket/460

Ok. If you can't wait (or want a Bash environment in Windows that can run GDAL) you can try the following ugly hack per the link I sent you earlier:

• install GDAL (and QGIS) through the OSGeo4W installer. Choose Express Desktop Install. This will install a bunch of geo softwares; we are interested in the OSGeo4W Shell.
• install Git from https://git-scm.com/download. You now have a Bash terminal; look for Git Bash in your machine.
• the ugly hack: copy everything from C:\OSGeo4W\bin to C:\Program Files\git\bin. Voilá: you have a Bash environment that can execute gdal commands.
• do the following to execute the data packages scripts: open Git Bash, navigate to your data package's scripts folder and enter ./process.sh. This should execute the script and initialize the data package.

I'm using python 3.6.4 on windows 10. I completed the first three bullets.
I copied all the files from C:\OSGeo4W\bin to C:\Program Files\git\bin via the file explorer. but that doesn't make any of the gdal commands work through git bash. I type gdal and still get nothing... is that the only command we're supposed to type?

I'm having trouble interpreting the last bullet, particularly which "data package"'s script folder are you refferring to?? Something pertaining to git bash or something pertaining to OSGeo4W? OSGeo4W doesn't seem to have a folder for scripts. I know the Python-3.6 has one. Neither does the C:\Program Files\git\bin directory have a folder for scripts. So I don't know what you're referring to... sorry, my mistake.
