(kmssink) Macmini macOS 15.6.1 Requires pressing twice to Start and Stop Screen Mirroring (iPhone Works Fine)

(kmssink) When restarting the Mac, on the FIRST time, using a Macmini with macOS 15.6.1 for screen mirroring, I have to press twice to start the projection correctly, and also twice to turn it off. This does not happen on an iPhone. The logs do not show anything.

On a Mac, you need to click “Stop Mirroring” twice, which is quite strange.
If you try it a few times on a Mac, you’ll notice this interesting problem.

After rolling back and testing multiple versions, and testing after restarting the Mac, I ultimately chose version 1.64. Although it connects a bit slowly, the screen mirroring disable function works properly without needing to turn it off twice. Unlike version 1.66, it doesn’t cause flickering at startup, and unlike the latest version, it doesn’t freeze the screen on the first connection after a reboot.

The biggest issue with the latest code is that:
when the Mac system has just started, the screen freezes the first time screen mirroring is used.

To balance all the features, I can only choose version 1.69 for now. This version has greatly improved video frame drops. After restarting the Mac, the first connection no longer freezes. However, it still requires closing twice to fully exit.
