1. Should calculations be handled by a separate engine.py file or integrated into app.py?
2. Are we keeping the uploaded Excel rendering feature, or is it being replaced by the YAML implementation?
3. We need to decide a standardized format for the excel files.

Thanks for asking questions here, @EddW1219! Here are my answers

1. It depends. The way I see this, the math expressions should live in the yaml files. Then, after the yaml is validated, python should go through all of the equations and solve them by executing the code these represent, in other words, iterate through the list, then turn the text into an expression (unsure how to do that in Python), and execute it. Probably the app.py file should be rather simple, so the backend and all the rest of the content should be encapsulated in a separate file, the engine.

2. I like the Excel, but I think it is overly complicated for the moment. The Excel extension could bring more bugs and things that we are not covering. For instance, the user may throw a dynamic table or other fancy Excel stuff which wouldn't generally work.

3. We don't need the Excel files, we need to standardize the report format AND the yaml format.
