1 am is the best time for making ideas
"Nudges" are essentially fancy status effects that stagehands apply to players to tilt the scale of a round. Each stagehand is given a budget of nudges they can allocate to players within the round. When a player dies, their nudges are returned to the stagehand with a notification.
The best way to think about nudges is a scale. When you assign a nudge to a player, the scale tilts either to the side of buffs or curses. When the scale is imbalanced, the side with more nudges gets the excess nudges (number of nudges that are greater than the other side) applied to the target.
So if i curse someone with clumsiness and slippery shoes, and someone gives them a health blessing, then they would suffer only a single curse. if another blessing nudge was applied, then there'd be no effect at all. One more, and a health blessing would appear.
the goal is basically to create an insane betting scenario where people are nudging their favorite players up and down to try and create the most interesting outcome they want while not having complete control over what happens.
