You have a secret(?) willpower stat that's like a mood analogue, so if you kill someone for no reason it gets decreased but if they were a kill objective or a tot or started the fight etc. you'd gain willpower. You'd also get it for like eating your favourite food or drink and more mundane things.
Then when you crit based on your willpower you can come back for an amount of time to like run away or finish off whoever, and you get a very small amount of these based on willpower
