Board LEDs & CC1110 Initialization

I’ve been testing the Explorer Board you kindly gifted in SF but have been having some issues using it…

I’ve tried booting Yocto / Jubi on the Edison but the trouble I have seems to be related with the Explorer Board initialization??

Whenever I boot… no leds come on only after I run the ExplorerTest.py

After that… whenever I run any mmeowlink commands, it seems that the first try gives me a:

CommsException("Could not get subg_rfspy state or version. Have you got the right port/device and radio_type?")
mmeowlink.

So the only way I can use it on my loop effectively is:

a) run ExplorerTest.py on startup
b) run whatever mmeowlink command I want to use 2 - 3 times in a row… first or second try I get

CommsException("Could not get subg_rfspy state or version. Have you got the right port/device and radio_type?")

Then on last try the command goes through…

It seems that problem went away after I changed my mmewolink to @scottleibrand's:

Will continue testing to make sure its consistent.
