Issues with Unsupported Protocols and OpenVPN Not working

Hello,

On your custom OpenWrt build, when I go to Network → Interfaces, for WAN, LAN, and WAN6 the following message appears:

Unsupported protocol type. Install protocol extensions…

Do I need to install additional packages to fix this issue?
Also, OpenVPN does not work properly on this version; the connection establishes, but the IP does not change.

Is this version compatible with my modem architecture (ARM64 / MediaTek evb6890v1_64_cpe_nand)?

Those “Unsupported protocol” messages is normal. Wan uses a vendor-only ql_mipc proto, Luci won’t know it. Lan and wan show the unsupported message, but still works via /etc/config/network or vendor ui.
I haven’t tried Openvpn zlt x28. Didn’t build this, just a port from another Chinese openwrt based on same architecture.
Works on ARM64 / MediaTek evb6890v1_64_cpe_nand, so it’s compatible with your hardware, but some vendor stuff won’t show in Luci.
End of the day it’s kinda hard to get everything smooth. Definitely gonna run into a lot of stuff that doesn’t even exist or can’t be run.

I wish at least you had tested OpenVPN yourself and fixed the issue; I really need this feature.

If Shadowsocks, WireGuard, or anything else could be added for IP switching, that would be even better.

我发现我的整个系统 除了 data 和 mnt 目录 其他的目录 都是 在 /rom 分区 下 安装完之后,只要一重启设备 就会全部恢复原系统

yeah same issue here, cant persist any changes.
is there any script on /data that runs on startup? so we can use it somehow?
