Contributing to File Manager

Thank you for considering contributing to File Manager! We welcome contributions from the community.

How to Contribute

Reporting Bugs

If you find a bug, please open an issue on GitHub Issues with:

  • A clear and descriptive title
  • Steps to reproduce the issue
  • Expected behavior vs actual behavior
  • Your environment (PHP version, Laravel version, Filament version)
  • Any relevant error messages or screenshots

Suggesting Features

Feature requests are welcome! Please open an issue describing:

  • The problem you're trying to solve
  • Your proposed solution
  • Any alternatives you've considered

Pull Requests

  1. Fork the repository
  2. Create a new branch (git checkout -b feature/your-feature-name)
  3. Make your changes
  4. Run the tests (composer test)
  5. Commit your changes using Conventional Commits
  6. Push to your branch (git push origin feature/your-feature-name)
  7. Open a Pull Request

Coding Standards

  • Follow PSR-12 coding standards
  • Write tests for new features
  • Update documentation as needed
  • Keep commits atomic and well-described
