Hello @autibet @SeaCelo @NyeinChan85
I hope you are doing well. My name is Puja, and I am a 3rd year B.Tech student specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I am very interested in contributing to the OG–CLEWS project for GSoC, particularly the User Interface and Software Engineering track.
I am excited by the goal of extending MUIO into a cross-platform, policy-maker-friendly application that integrates CLEWS and OG-Core. I have experience working with Python, data-intensive applications, and building software systems involving automation, data processing, and visualization. I am currently strengthening my skills in UI development, packaging, and reproducible workflows.
As I begin exploring the MUIO repository, I would appreciate your guidance on a few points:
• What would be the best starting point for new contributors to understand the architecture of MUIO?
• Are there any beginner-friendly issues or tasks you would recommend working on first?
• Is the current MUIO UI built using a specific framework, or is there a planned direction (e.g., Streamlit, Dash, or web-based frontend)?
• What are the main challenges expected in making MUIO cross-platform?
I am eager to learn, contribute meaningfully, and gradually take on more responsibility within the project. Thank you for your time and for maintaining such impactful open-source tools.
Kind regards,
Puja
