Suggestion: Chamber venting

Could this project be expanded to include chamber temperature control via automatic venting or even extra heating?

If you connect yiur bambu printer to home assistant then you can automate all manner of things. Because I have to work in the same room as my 3d printer that runs almost continuously, I have placed a Bentobox 2.0 inside the X1C chamber, I've then constructed and actual sealed chamber around my X1C and dual AMS setup which then has an automated Nevermore Max 2 to help filter the air before it leaves the sealed chamber. I also maintain a slight negative pressure inside the sealed chamber so that the only way for air (and therefore contaminants to get out is via the Nevermore filter). Because I also do electronic Rework in the same room, there's also a room air filter equipped with a medical grade HEPA filter that filters down to 0.2nm particles .... Over kill for the average hobbiest? Probably, those that can are likely better served by putting their printers in the garage and only spending minimal time nearby while they are operating but given that I have to spend upwards of 30 hours a week in that room I figure that it's well worth going to the trouble to keep the air quality as high as is reasonably possible. As for additional chamber heating, once the chamber exceeds IIRC 50C the stock firmware will turn on the chamber fan full speed in an effort to protect the machine. Remember that a lot of the internals of the machine are plastics that are not designed to be exposed to high temps for long periods and all of the control electronics share the same air as the print chamber and keeping the control logic at say 80c would be a fast way to shorten the life of the machine. Machines with sealed heated chambers are typically constructed rather differently compared to the x1c and the electronics are always in their own separate enclosure. I fear that attempting to convert the x1c to a truly sealed heated chamber would be a massive engineering undertaking requiring significant redesign which would without question void any manufacturers warranty.

I've never been one to worry about warranties, though. Modding something on day 1 is great fun.

Which is very risky in my case, because I rarely have much of a clue about wtf I'm doing, and have usually emptied my account to aquire the shiny new toy, so the stakes are always high.

Lady luck has been on my side for far too many years at this point :D

Recently hard-wired a Bento Mini to my P1S, and very, very nearly wired it directly to 240v!
