Identity as a library

I'm sure lots of mods would love to use the ability to morph into different creatures in many contexts. The main one I have in mind is Origins, but there are infinite possibilities. I think offering a library/API version of Identity would be a pretty good idea, akin to what Pehkui does for sizes.

This would get rid of the current system that forces you to kill other mobs to get their identity and allow other developers to get creative and implement identities in other ways.
