Option to remove play icon when media is paused on desktop

Summary

Often when pausing video I am wanting to inspect the frame, so the persistent play icon in the middle of the screen on desktop is a little annoying. It's almost always apparent that the content is paused without it so I don't see the need for it.

EDIT: I see there is a closed PR related to this (#754). I'd at least like this behind an option.

Given how small of a thing/issue this is adding another setting for this is probably a bit much.

However if there is a different solution like maybe adding it to the top left corner. Or maybe making the play button transparent when the player overlay is not visible.

Something like that could work?
