DoES membership options and prices not that easy to find #2113

Bug description:

Finding the costs of various DoES memberships isn't immediately evident.

Expected behaviour:

I'd expect very quickly and clearly to find the prices of the various membership options, similar to the A4 print out that is posted in the DoES space.

Actual behaviour:

I got to https://doesliverpool.com wanting to see what the different membership tiers and pricing options are.

It is not on the front page.

Top right of page there is a link "Contributions and membership". Here I find three sections:

  • Payment and donation bank details
  • Paypal link
  • Become a member which is £10, and three links, all of which take me to the PayPal login page

So I don't know what the options are yet.

In the bottom bar there is a link marked "membership", clicking that takes me to the same page as "contributions and membership".

Under About there is the "cost of doing epic". On this page there is:

  • "We Need More People Taking Desks or Workshop Membership" but not link to how to achieve that
  • Talk again of the £10 a month membership or a one off donation

I'm interested in workshop, so I try the workshop page next. It has:

*. all the equipment one could use

  • at the bottom a grid of six boxes...

Clicking on the six boxes I finally find a list of membership options and their prices. But it's different set of options depending on what I click. For example, the mail box price is only on the mail box page.

I now see from the top level this is the "services" menu, which sounds like services DoES offer rather than membership so I'd not checked that. 🤦

Notes:

Perhaps the bug is me, but I don't see services as how I'd become a member or part of the community. For that I clicked the more obvious membership and got lost.
