Ship installers for Windows and Linux

MacOS already ships a .DMG (drag and drop installation), which while not a full fledged installer like a .pkg, it's still adequate and provides a nicer user experience.

Windows could provide a similar .MSI installer for conveniently copying files to a standard location.

And on Ubuntu we could ship a .Deb (Debian package) which could provide similar benefits.
