From what was discussed updating React 18 to 19 is inadvisable since they reworked a lot of things from 18 to 19 which means Starchart would need to be rewritten, coupled with needing to update to ChakraUI V2 to V3 which introduces more breaking changes due to being rewritten.
This all means that we aren't updating React 18 to 19 and ChakraUI V2 to V3 since it'd be a lot of work and React 18 would likely still continue to receive support. Having said that I think having a discussion post would be useful incase there could be thoughts put about it.
