OutOfMemory exception when restoring a backup

Hello.
I've been using the app for 3 months. And, today I faced issue while trying to restore a backup.
I have taken logs using adb and attached the file. Hope it helps.

I tried manually replacing the files in the Data folder.
I am able to recover the texts, but images are not being showed in the app.

I'll take a look. In the meantime, I'll note that the images should be in a folder called "Images" in the app's data folder, if you haven't done so already. You may need to reopen the app and/or clear the app's cache for the images to appear. I'll also note that the images need to have the exact name as what is exported, but if you are just copying over the files from the export that should not be an issue.

How large is the backup zip file that you tried to import? How much RAM does your phone have?

The exact size of the backup file is 472.6 MiB (495,600,372 bytes).
My mobile has 8Gb of ram.

I did copy the Images to the app's data folder (/Android/data/com.demizo.daily_you/files/Images).
But, the outcomes are different sometimes. The two issues I get after copying the extracted backup zip are:

1. The app doesn't open at all. Shows black screen after logo.
2. The app opens and shows text journals, but no Images at all.

I did clear the cache, tried the February release. Yet nothing fixes.

That is very odd. It's not a very big file. I am surprised it is running out of memory, do you know if most of your RAM is in use by other apps when you attempt a restore? Some additional questions:

• To clarify, is the restore backup failure consistent?
• Do you have external folder locations set for logs or images?
• What phone/OS/Android version are you using?

It is indeed odd for it to crash. I tried to restore it after a fresh reboot.
The restore backup was consistent.
Then, I didn't try restoring for a while (approx. 3 hours), and then it was able to restore successfully.

After that, I tried to clear data and restore it again, and the app started crashing again.
It is hard to pinpoint the exact problem. It might be with the ROM or the app.

I will try it on a different mobile and report if the issue persists; as it might be just the ROM's fault.

I did NOT set any external folders for the logs and images.
It uses the default ones.

I am currently using Mi 9T Pro, along the Infinity-X 3.8, and Android 16.
I will get back after trying it on a different mobile.
