the ability to use syncthing

Your app has the option to select a folder, but it's unclear why it was created if the files that are there can't be used for synchronization. Please make it possible.

Could you elaborate? The app does stay in sync with the optional external log/image folder. It is just a folder of files so I am not sure why a tool like Syncthing would not work.
