Hero's Path is all out of wack

I started the game on Switch and then converted the save to the Wii U format.
While playing on Switch my Hero's Path worked without any issues, but on Wii U it doesn't show my actual movements. Instead, when I forward it, all that it shows is me teleporting to a random place on the map (including to places I've never been to, like the middle of the ocean), dying, and then teleporting somewhere else, over and over, until at last I teleport to the spot I'm currently standing.
If I delete the tracker files (thus resetting the Hero's Path) it proceeds to work normally, so it's not that big of an issue, but my progress from the Switch save seems to be corrupted in some way. Including the tracker files below in case it helps.

As the author did not respond, I'll write in what I figured out. I started with the latest 2.0 version and noticed Hero's path was busted as you mentioned. Tried to figure it out, but was getting nowhere. Tried the 1.1.3 version, which was the first he had updated the path - still busted. Looked like it wasn't even touching the files when looking at the converted files vs original in a hex editor.

Was preparing to modify the hex files myself but tried out the latest official release on a whim (1.1.4) and... yeah, it worked. Converted a couple more times just to make sure it wasn't a blip, and it was successful every time. This was going from Wii U 1.5 to Switch 1.6.

So from what I can tell, the functionality worked in 1.1.4 and got broken again in the rewrite.
