Random **= and *=* on Picofly OLED installation

Hi there.
At first a big thank you to your for this cool fork!!!!

I have an issue with some oled installs, that randomly the errors **= and = happen and OFW is loaded. When I reboot the console it normally works for some times and then it happens again.

I think the checks are in boot_detect.c line 62 and line 65 if Im right. Is it possible to retry maybe for 3 or 4 times if one of these error happens?
Sorry, Im not very god in C so maybe you could give it a try? I was looking in some community spaces and more people like me have this problem but until now there is no solution except switching from Picofly to Instinct-NX....and thats not a good solution.

I'll look into it, can you tell me how you're booting OFW? the modchip reset value may be too tight

Hi there, very cool!
What do you mean with how I boot OFW? Ah maybe my description was a bit confusing...The error occurs when I want to boot to Hekate.
By pressing vol+ and vol- or Hekate reboot -> OFW. This works as usual, no problem with it.

I think I misread your question/issue, have you ensured that your dat0 point is showing proper values (and that there isn't flux covering your solder joints or flux underneath the eMMC)? I've had a bunch of people test my 2.80 release and it has worked consistently across many different eMMC brands and motherboard revisions

not trying to say you've done anything wrong, just want to do some troubleshooting and confirmation for myself :P

Yes, its clean and all values are correct. Dat0 is done by kamikaze and wires are 0.1mm
I have done many chips and the problem occures sometimes but I cannot define a specifix eMMC. It happened on skhynix and samsung. Ive even swapped the chip and it works on another switch. Ive been looking arround in some forums and Im not the only one with this problem but there is no solution fot it :(

It happens about 1 out of 10 tries. and only on oled models.

The chip i use is one of these:

the resistor values also seem to be correct. and as the chip works perfectly on another switch, i dont think the chip is the problem.

i hope its not a problem with my soldering, but as it only happens on some models and on my last one i resoldered everythinkg to be sure its good i think its another problem.

but as i said it happened on samsung and skhynix, so i have no idea :(

Thank you very much. I tested it and its hard to explain. The error still is there but additionally the chip freezes on boot, then starting OFW and showing a green light until I reboot sometimes. :)

Oh, was looking better in the beginning but now freezes again wir green light keeping on booting into OFW. :(
