David, As you rightly pointed out on Pure Fooocus, Flux is lacking in negative prompting, I did a bit of an Internet search and came across 'SD Dynamic Thresholding' - the consensus seemed to be quite positive. What are your thoughts of using it (if at all possible) down the track in FP?

@TaffyCarl This sounds like a great technology, it's basically a dynamic CFG. From what I see, it should improve prompt following for all models, including the SDXL group. Thanks for finding this Carl.

This is a Comfy extension that will require #34. It will not work with SDXL as this code is separated out into the current Fooocus ldm_patched modules. It will also not work in the future when #35 is implemented, as the Fooocus nodes are still separated out within Comfy from other inference types. However, Dynamic Thresholding will work with SD1.5 and Flux.

Even with that limitation, its still sounds like a good thing. Although I must say that I have seen many good things for AI in the past that are really only marginal in practice. FreeU comes to mind.

FreeU is very important for SD1.5, albeit unimplemented right now in FooocusPlus' basic workflow. See examples. The reason it is marginal in Fooocus/FooocusPlus SDXL is that the Fooocus KSampler implements a large amount of quality enhancements; I have sometimes referred to the Fooocus version of SDXL as More Advanced XL or "Stable MAX" for this reason. This is also why the Fooocus SDXL implementation is incompatible with standard KSampler modifiers like Dynamic Thresholding.

Well that is fascinating - and sad too that FreeU has never lived up to its potential for SD1.5 in the Fooocus world.

Edited to add: That is quite a thorough listing of FooocusPlus advantages, at More Advanced XL. I think I have seen this before, but many people are not aware of all the details that make Fooocus great!

As part of #100, FreeU can be more easily implemented for SD1.5. It's a core node in ComfyUI.
