About sea ice module or coupling in COAWST v3.8

I've been using COAWST v3.6, with incorporating a sea ice module (Budgell version).

Today, I downloaded v3.8 to compare it with the v3.6 results.

However, it seems that v3.8 does not include the sea ice code, and there is no mention of sea ice in the documented manual.

Is it currently not considered, or is there another way to represent sea ice processes?
