Submit button doesn't work if subscribe checkbox is deselected

The plugin seems to be working great for me (other than the docs clarification needed here: #2 (comment) ) but when I deselect the "Subscribe" checkbox, the submit button stops working completely.

Am I missing something? It seems like using the "Acceptance" checkbox makes it so that it's required that you select it, before it will submit? Isn't that what that type of checkbox is for?

How can we make this work with a regular checkbox, so that messages from people who choose not to subscribe can still be sent? Thanks!

I did some fiddling and got it working.

Instead of using an [acceptance] checkbox, use a regular one. Here's what I used in CF7:

[checkbox newsletter use_label_element "Sign me up to the newsletter"]

Note that the field is called "newsletter". You can call it whatever you want, just make sure you use the same name when you edit the plugin, as shown here:

I just wrapped the section that sends the subscription data in an if statement that checks to see if the "newsletter" field is set. Seems to be working!
