VCP SDK Roadmap

This issue tracks the development roadmap for the Value-Context Protocol SDK.

Milestone 1 — Foundation (Complete)

• VCP Specification v1.0
• Python SDK — reference implementation (identity, CSM-1, transport, context)
• Four-layer protocol stack (VCP/I, VCP/T, VCP/S, VCP/A)
• JSON Schema definitions for all protocol layers
• VCP Demo site with interactive playground
• Academic paper draft

Milestone 2 — Multi-Language & v1.1 (Complete)

• VCP Specification v1.1 — R-line for real-time personal state
• Rust SDK (vcp-core, vcp-wasm, vcp-cli)
• TypeScript/WebMCP SDK (@vcp/webmcp) with Chrome 145+ support
• MCP-B polyfill for non-Chrome browsers
• Repository restructured for polyglot development

Milestone 3 — Production Readiness (In Progress)

• CI pipeline (Python, Rust, TypeScript, schema validation)
• MIT license and governance files (CONTRIBUTING, CODE_OF_CONDUCT, SECURITY)
• Issue and PR templates
• Dependabot for automated dependency updates
• Branch protection on main
• Rust SDK to 1.0 — complete feature parity with Python
• WebMCP SDK to 1.0 — full test coverage
• PyPI package publish (value-context-protocol)
• crates.io publish (vcp-core, vcp-cli)
• npm publish (@vcp/webmcp)
• GitHub Release with tagged versions

Milestone 4 — Ecosystem

• Plugin/extension system for custom persona definitions
• Registry service for UVC namespace management
