Wait should be cancelable

@claude Sometimes I use Ctrl+W to wait at the end of the session just for timing reasons, but then I don't actually want to send a follow up message. Currently I need to choose between sending a dummy follow up and using Ctrl+C to kill the whole coven process. I want to have a way to proceed as coven would otherwise (including parsing and acting on any special tags from the last message before the wait). Please propose possible UIs on the issue before implementing

UI Proposals

Three options for canceling a Ctrl+W wait. In all cases, canceling means "proceed as if Ctrl+W was never pressed" — break tags, wait-for-user, and transitions from the last message still get processed.

Option A: Ctrl+D to skip (Recommended)

During a Ctrl+W wait, Ctrl+D means "I have nothing to say, proceed." Maps to Unix "end of input" semantics. Ctrl+C still exits entirely.

Change: Currently Ctrl+D during a wait exits coven (same as Ctrl+C). This changes it to "skip" only for Ctrl+W-initiated waits (not wait-for-user tag waits, where Ctrl+D would still exit).

Variant: Could also apply to wait-for-user tag waits — Ctrl+D would proceed as though the model never output the tag.

Option B: Empty Enter to skip

Press Enter with no text to proceed without sending a message. Very discoverable.

Trade-off: Empty submits currently have no meaning. This gives them one, but only in the wait context.

Option C: Escape to cancel wait

Press Escape when the wait prompt is shown. Universal "cancel" pattern.

Change: Escape currently just cancels partially-typed text. This would change it to dismiss the entire wait (when nothing is typed).
