Provide summary statistics to aid analysis #28

Description

@digitalWestie

In standard data analysis workflows, an analyst usually conducts an exploration step. Usually this involves some sense checks or producing summary statistics.

As such, it'd be handy to support the analyst with some stats or indications to help exploration, for example:

  • Volume: How many comments, from how many participants?
  • Distribution: Are comments evenly distributed, or do a few participants dominate?
  • Temporal patterns: When did most comments arrive? Are there peaks or gaps?
  • Length and quality: What's the typical comment length? Are there many very short or very long comments?

This ties in with what we've got in our workflow guide #20, and making analysis results more visible #23

Providing some figures helps from a usability standpoint as it helps confirm to the user they have configured their target correctly.

Changes:

  • We have volume (as in no. of comments) already, but it would be good to highlight this when choosing a target in the new run UI
  • Show comment length e.g. average comment word count
  • Show unique participant count
