.Vscode directory in the project

Is having a .vscode directory in project necessary ? I think it was a mistake why would we want a .vscode folder in our project code in the github. We should remove it shouldn't we.

@codingsagar It's not a mistake. Having .vscode folder inside the repo make each developer to use the same configuration of many tools such as eslint, prettier etc.
In this way each one of us can collaborate and push code in the repo in the same way!

Thanks for replying. After posting it I also checked other repos like cal.com and other and also found out a .vscode dir there. Thanks for this info.
