<p>CodeFoster was founded in 2014 with the aim of increasing coding culture in college and provide a strong peer group to those interested in coding. We have been working since then to improve the logical, coding and problem solving skills.We believe in mutual learning by conducting events to enhance the programming capabilities of students and to make an open and collaborative ecosystems for promotion of Competitive Programming, Development Skills and Open Source Contributions among students.Club members also have meetups where they teach each other latest skills required in the industry.

<p>Our journey began with a workshop on “C programming and its nuances”,which itself saw a participation of more than 100 students.</p>
<p>“De SparX Code” was the first ever inter-college coding competition organized in the college by our club.</p>
<p>Code Casino was the largest inter college coding event ever organized in Indore with participation of more than 400 students.</p>
<p>Workshop on HTML,CSS and JavaScript was organized in association with Microsoft technical Community,Indore for the first and second year students of our college.</p>
<p>Workshop on chatbots - “The art of coding a conversation” in association with Microsoft technical Community,Indore for the first and second year students of our college.</p>
<p>The most popular coding event is the Friday challenge “Code Blitz”,with three rounds of it conducted so far. Code Blitz increased the awareness and participation of students of our college in Competitive Programming.</p>

<p>CodeMania was a coding competition conducted on 14th August 2018 in SGSITS. It was exclusively for 2nd year students of the college. The main motive of the event was to introduce the students to the world of competitive coding.</p>
<p>
It was hosted on HackerRank platform. Participants were required to solve three questions in any suitable programming language of their choice within a time limit of one hour. The problem setters along with the CodeFoster volunteers were present to assist the participants regarding any problems they face during the course of the competition. The event concluded with a discussion session to analyse the problem solving approaches and clarify any doubts regarding the questions from the competition.</p>

<p>Continuing with the series of Friday Challenges CodeBlitz 3.0 took place on January 19th in SGSITS, based on Problem Solving Ability using Data Structures and Algorithms. </p>
<p>
The Competition was hosted on HackerRank Platform. The event amassed 60 participants, majority of the coders were from second and third year showing their coding skills enthusiastically. The Problem Setters were there to guide the participants to overcome challenges faced during competitive coding and develop their own way of solving problem. The event concluded with students having the experience of solving problems of all difficulty levels in constrained time period.
