Cursor jump when star to three finger drag

Heya! I'm experiencing a problem, where if I use three fingers to drag, the cursor will always jump a certain distance when my finger makes the slightest move on the trackpad, and then the cursor/drag behaviour will follow my actual finger movement.

the problem goes away if I first make contact with touchpad and hold my finger positions for ~1s, then slowly start dragging.

I've tried tweaking all the settings but the issue seem to persist.

This might be due to the configuration of the three finger drag start threshold.
Can you go to the Other Settings tab, enable the logging, reproduce the issue, disable the logging and upload the file here?
You can also look at the time and delete any irrelevant logs from the file (that is, before or after reproducing the issue).

The log covers 3 attempts to move a knob/fader on a software mixer interface, and all 3 times the UI element jerked forward as described in the OP.

I thought the threshold might have been the issue. I had tried setting it to 0 to no avail; at the moment, both start and end drag thresholds are at 10px.

It is strange as in the logs, the app is never moving the cursor by more than 5 px.
Do you have the same issue disabling the three-finger mouse move, and continuing the drag even if the mouse doesn’t move ?
It might be an interference between TFDOW and something else.

yes, when three finger mouse move is disabled, no issue with cursor jerk.

or with this option enabled but dragging via click + hold, also no issue.

hmmmm, yeah! strange, unsure what to look at next.
