add fourfingerdrag to simulate mouse middle click and drag

In many graphical interfaces, such as AutoCAD and MATLAB, pressing the middle mouse button and dragging is commonly used for panning the view or rotating objects.
Presently, touchpads are not capable of emulating this type of interaction, which means that when one merely wants to temporarily examine certain files and needs to pan these interfaces, they still have to resort to using a mouse to accomplish the task. It's not possible to conveniently perform these actions relying solely on the touchpad.

I use three finger tap as middle mouse click, but as stated by OP, there is no way to drag while holding the middle mouse button with a touchpad. Personally I'm not interested in the three finger drag that this app already offers, but having middle mouse double tap + drag would be very useful to me. Is this something that can be implemented alongside the requested four-finger drag?

It would be nice to have customizable behaviour, i.e.:

• toggleable three- and four-finger dragging,
• toggleable tap + drag actions for three and four fingers in addition to the existing (native) single-finger tap + drag,
• individually assigning which mouse button to use for each action (left and middle to start with, maybe also right click and even X4 and X5?)
