Implementation Status

This document clarifies what's production-ready vs. experimental vs. roadmap.

v19.0.0 (The Immune System Era) - COMPLETED

  • The Immune System: Byzantine-resilient aggregation (TrimmedMean).
  • Precision Upgrade: High-dynamic range gradients (Bfp16Vec).
  • The Hippocampus: GeneStorage trait and Disk persistence implementation.
  • Emergence: Verified "Viral Cure" propagation in 15% packet loss scenarios.

✅ Fully Implemented & Tested

  • Core Compression Engine (qres_core): Q16.16 fixed-point determinism, bit-perfect across architectures
  • Phase 7: Safety Hardening: No unwrap/expect panic paths in core.
  • Phase 8: Zero-Copy Optimization: compress_chunk uses &mut [u8] buffers.
  • Q16.16 Math Engine: Replaced floats with fixed::types::I16F16.
  • Python Bindings (PyO3): Tested on Linux/macOS/Windows
  • WASM Decoder: Browser-compatible decompression via wasm-bindgen
