Save the user information after login #168

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The current login feature is not working properly, clicking on the login button is not leading you to anywhere and it is also not saving the user state/information.
Describe the solution you'd like.
I would like to add a global state(redux or context) or localstorage, so that we can save the user information throughout the application.
Describe alternatives you've considered.
We can use Oidc, but it can bring more complication to the application as both integration and Oidc set up is a bit heavy task, but it can be a good alternative
