As a client, I want to read the configuration options in the payload of the incoming OfferService message.

I need to read some key=value fields in the configuration options, which is part of the SD-OfferService payload. But what I can see this is not possible without changing the application interface etc.

Why is this not already part of the interface?

Any suggestions on how I should go about adding this functionality? How do-able is it without MAJOR changes, considering the current architecture of the code (I do not have complete understanding of the different components etc)?
