I am missing a place to leave my general thoughts, as a reviewer: thoughts that I want to centre even though they don't spring from particular lines or paragraphs, or in this case, spring from an absence within the text...
I am missing the black Atlantic. Where are the drowned bodies? And are you in a position to account for them? Probably not. Deletion too would be unforgivable.
Maybe someone else, could be invited to make that intervention? Perhaps Christina Sharpe? Or, if she is not interested to work on this, perhaps parts of her work could form a stream of citations in the book, citations that could float by like media items? https://www.dukeupress.edu/in-the-wake
