Matlab version

Hi!
I looked at the paper and this toolbox looks amazing. I am using Matlab 2011b on mac os 10.6. Apparently some of the function are not existing for me (isequaln for example) and the Mupadex has some difficulties with the symbolic indexing...

Which version of Matlab do you use on Mac? Do you, maybe, happen to know which compiler for Matlab works on Windows and which version of Matlab should I use?

Hi,

we are only working with versions between R2014a and R2016a. Mathworks is constantly making (good) changes to the symbolic toolbox, so ensuring backwards compatibility is quite tedious and prohibits us from using possibly more efficient features.

For the compiler on windows, Visual Studio will not work as it does not support the newer C99/C11+ standards which are necessary for the code to compile. We are currently working on a version that also works with Visual Studio, but this is not done yet. I would recommend the MinGW compiler: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/52848-matlab-support-for-the-mingw-w64-c-c++-compiler-from-tdm-gcc . We had mostly positive experiences with that compiler.

I will update Matlab on the PC and install the compiler you are suggesting. My mac is getting to old to install a new Os.

I totally agree that Matlab are constantly making good changes. It's one of my favorite application so far.

I have been busy with the submission of a new paper and spend couple of day trying the toolbox. It's really a great job, you did here. Many thanks.

Yep it work smoothly on the PC with MinGW compiler (to the exception of the Fortran compiler... but I may be able to get it to work in the next days).
