We should collect a changelog for the 2026 release.

Changelog (Jonas):

• Chapters 1 to 5 have been restructured for a better clarity. The content remains mostly unchanged.
• Adds a new "Track Layout" Chapter that collects all track descriptions in a single place.
• Minimum length of Express Way is shortened to 5 Meters to be able to be used on shorter track lengths.
• Fixed numbering of landmarks to start with 0 instead of 1.
• Clarified lateral misalignment of lane markings.
• Clarified conflicting statements of obstacles in left lane.
• Removed redefinition of obstacles in the Parking Zone.
• Differentiation between suburban and rural scenario was removed. The track elements can occur without being limited to the speed limit anymore.
• Speed limit can start and end anywhere on the track. Speed limit signs can be placed next to other signs.
• Removes limitation of stop lines to be at opposing entries.
• Limits the number of pedestrians per crossing to up to 1.

Changelog (Marius):

• Updated Vehicle Requirements: Headlights, Taillights, Speaker/Acoustic Device.
• RC-Mode: Requires acoustic signal when activated, Misuse of RC-Mode can result in penalty. Return to track within 1m, where vehicle left the track (valid for every challenge). Activation only after fully leaving startbox.
• After challenge completion, the vehicle has to remain on track until signalled by the commission that the vehicle can be removed.
• Reworked dynamic obstacle: Can not appear in elements except otherwise stated inside the element. Clarified behavior of dynamic obstacles in intersections.
• Clarified occurring elements in Freedrive Course and the expected behavior of the vehicle.
• Added example navigation circuit.
• Added example for a three-way intersection.
• Defined height of startbox sign.
