I'd guess the ads were making $10 a month.
If we could get the site running on linux (#9) we could maybe host it on a 2gb virtual server. ($12/m on Digital Ocean)

Hi there! Klure here. Also a long time user of the site. I posted about this over at Board Game Geek and someone from that site local here in San Diego might be able to get me a good deal on hosting it as he runs a hosting services company. I am trying to get some more info from him on the rough costs to host it. Bryan - are you planning to keep the Domain Name - or could I possibly take it over as well? I have a GoDaddy account for a domain my wife wanted to use and could see about transferring it.

Yes there should be a way to transfer the domain name.

Can you provide that info Bryan?

Disk space is mainly driven by the messages in the MySQL database. It's something like 2gb I think. I've got some code to clean that periodically but I don't think it's automated.

Transfer is pretty light. Could be optimized with cloudflare. Depends on the users.

Biggest thing is the ram requirement. I've never run a .net site on linux so I'm not sure what it needs. A windows server would need 8gb, but a linux server could probably run with a lot less.

Anything's possible. Send me an offer. I've been planning on keeping it and wouldn't want to give it away unless I really trusted the new owner and was excited about how it would be used.
