@typemytype and I are currently tidying up the Mechanic2 registry, and we've noticed that this extension still relies on Python 2 code. Given that Python 2.7 reached its end of life at the start of 2020, we believe it's time to make the transition. If you'd like to retain the extension in the Mechanic registry, we kindly request that you update it within the next 60 days. Otherwise, we'll proceed with its removal. We appreciate your understanding.
