Convolver appears to only output wet gain

The option "enable convolver" appears to only send the wet reverbated output to the speakers rather than both the dry and the wet output like it should. This results in the sound being muffled and "wet" of sorts, especially noticeable with drums. Turning the option off, improves the quality significantly.

Will have to check that out, I have to admit my knowledge of how convolvers should work is very limited, and I built that some time ago with another user guiding me. Will have to read up on that a little and see if I can fix that :)

Essentially a fix for this would be very simple :)

I'm assuming that your code looks something like this:

// create reverb
const reverb = audioCtx.createConvolver();

// load impulse response
const response = await fetch("/path/to/impulse/response.wav");
const buffer = await response.arrayBuffer();
reverb.buffer = await audioCtx.decodeAudioData(buffer);

// connect the reverbator to the MIDI player

player.connect(reverb); // connect the MIDI player to reverb
reverb.connect(audioCtx.destination); // connect the reverb to speakers

A very simple fix would be connecting the player both to the convolver and directly to the audio output:

// create reverb
const reverb = audioCtx.createConvolver();

// load impulse response
const response = await fetch("/path/to/impulse/response.wav");
const buffer = await response.arrayBuffer();
reverb.buffer = await audioCtx.decodeAudioData(buffer);

// connect the reverbator to the MIDI player

player.connect(reverb); // connect the MIDI player to reverb
reverb.connect(audioCtx.destination); // connect the reverb to speakers
player.connect(audioCtx.destination); // connect the MIDI player directly to the speakers.

That way the speakers receive both the clean audio signal + the reverb, massively improving the sound quality.
