Failing unit test `test_mappings` on Linux

Dear @BenoitMorel !

During installation (running tests) I see this:

Test mappings from tree
./run_tests.sh: line 5: 55272 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) build/bin/test_mappings

No other clues are given as output during the run, and no errors during the build process. I haven't tried to compile and execute test_mappings in isolation for debugging.

Ubuntu 22.04.3, cmake version 3.22.1, g++ version 11.4.0
