Currently the notes produced are based on the treble clef.
There should be an interface to toggle the clef to bass, tenor, or alto, changing the frequencies heard. This would have to work with #4 as well.
Also it should be obvious which clef is being used. A superimposed slightly transparent svg upon the stave would be nice.
