Description
At present, Beipmu has a single "global settings" that can be applied to multiple input/output windows. But there are more than one settings "scheme" that I reuse across my Beipmu windows, so being able to have more than one named group would be useful.
For example:
My output windows are font size 16, with no time display except tool tips.
My channel spawn windows are font size 14 to save a little vertical space since I don't care about them as much, but they have time display always turned on.
People might want different settings like font color on regular input windows versus ones that prepend a group message command, or might have settings they apply to all their output windows for one game, and have a different set for another game.
As for impact of just having it work with a single saved group of settings in Global, I usually have at least 9 characters across several games, whose output windows use Global settings. But those 9 characters collectively have 12 spawn windows that all use a different group of settings, each having to be individually set at present.
So an interface could be something like Putty's saved sessions. Set up a window how you want, go into the settings and choose to save it as a group that you name yourself. And in the same spot you could click an existing group and apply it to the window.
Thanks Bennet!
