Is your feature request related to a problem?

I love Basis Framework and ditched the system I was developing for it, but i'm surprised it was built on Unity! I am going to work towards a Stride3D port.

Describe your preferred solution

A lot of things should carry over with quick name changes, but a few innovations need to happen Stride3D side. This is fine, given i'm already the main developer of the first DLL system for Stride I can find that handles meshes and scripts!

I will share these as time goes by.

We love to see Basis as a springboard to ambitious projects that leverage the foundational work! It would be fantastic to find areas of interoperability with other engines. A non-Unity C# engine that can share a lot of code sounds amazing.

Basis is positioned to offer additional agency to creators who hail from closed or undeveloped ecosystems (i.e. an incremental solution that reduces dependency, rather than a total escape), and for better and worse Unity is the springboard for projects that wish to support VR, so I don't think it's an enhancement for Basis to replace Unity with Stride3D, but I do think that it could be very instructive and useful to improve systems that don't need to depend on Unity through a community port.

No worries, this is completely fine and I already guessed as much! After all, if it weren't for Unity's business practices i'd still be using them to this day!

This is more like an alternative for those looking to work outside of the Unity domain while keeping the best tech from Basis in there (and moreso just something I really want to use in my own projects)! I completely plan on developing it nonetheless!
