master branch won't compile

I think that you have some major changes in flight. I wanted to mention that I spent some time getting my adjustments merged off the master branch, only to learn that it won't compile, because you've deleted Thread.h etc.

Why is master broken? Isn't that what branches are for?

Please make master stable as much as possible, to prevent contributors like me from getting. frustrated.
