I have run AlphaMate with Mode Opt = yes, assuming optimum contribution mate settings. My input data provided body weight phenotypes as selection criteria. I am interested in seeing the genetic gain for each optimum target degree. I use the output file "Frontier," but instead of genetic gain, it has "SelCriteria." Is this genetic gain? Does AlphaMate calculate genetic gain? Or would I need to estimate manually? Please clarify this for me.

Hi @GopalaKGuddanti. Depending on what do you use as selection criterion. If it is breeding value, then yes that will indicate the expected mean of the next generation (mean breeding value of parents is the expected mean breeding value of their progeny). If phenotype, then h2 kicks in, ... Does this make sense?
