Blackscreen on certain games and save issues

There is a known issue, possibly with the Lapse implementation, that causes games to only display a blackcreen and may corrupt saves.

Right now there is a work around included with the kpatch code. The patches were adapted from the fix provided by @Gezine here.

This still doesn't address the root cause so I'll leave this issue open for now, however this is a built-in/transparent fix that appears to solve all the related issues.

Is there a list of which titles are affected by the blackscreen? And does the corrupted saves only affect games that end in the blackscreen?

I know of these 3 titles so far:
GTA San Andreas
Dying Light 2 Stay Human
Gori Cuddly Carnage

Yes, and when using a different webkit exploit you get the same issues, so we know it's the JS implementation of Lapse that has the issue.

It looks like a solution has already been found, at least for FW 9.xx. Can something be done with it and possibly implemented in this repo here?

Yeah, it's a work around, not a fix or identifying the root cause, however it does narrow down where the actual issue is happening drastically.

provided I have edited the plugins.ini correctly.
The game GTA Vice City Definitive Edition still ends in a black screen and produces broken saves.

I have activated the plugins under the GoldHEN settings, copied the plugins to /data/GoldHEN/plugins, and the plugins.ini to /data/GoldHEN, with these entries:

Yeah it's aio problem with mount saves but I agree it's random to work.

You could use the app PS4 Cheats Manager, it'll configure the goldhen plugins for you, all you need is install and open the app on your ps4, then go to the downloads, choose download from internet, and download plugins.
